David & Patricia Lee v. Florida Independent Delivery Service & Rooms to Go

In this case, Mr. Holmes acted as lead counsel for lawyers from Mississippi prosecuting the catastrophic personal injury claims of Ms. Patricia Lee and her family. In August of 2004, a Florida Independent Delivery Service truck caused a horrendous multi-vehicle accident on Interstate 20 near Tyler, Texas. Mr. and Mrs. Lee lost their adult son in the accident. Their grandchildren suffered serious injuries. Mrs. Lee survived as a quadriplegic. Working closely with experts in the fields of trucking, accounting and medicine, Mr. Holmes' team wrested a $12.75 million settlement from the responsible parties for Mr. and Mrs. Lee. The life of the Lee family is the subject of a documentary film produced by Blake Windham Media of Dallas.

The film was a critical part of the team's settlement presentation. Mr. Holmes and his team subsequently donated $10,000.00 to the Winona Volunteer Fire Department in recognition of their life saving efforts on behalf of the Lee family.
